Wondering, what's new in this latest release...
Bandwidth Usage Per Pool
Now you can monitor bandwidth and data on pool basis. This feature is accessible under the first option labeled as "Activity", on the right side panel of Nebero Admin Console. It shows the following valuable details for each bandwidth pool.
10 Second Average: The average bandwidth rate in last 10 seconds for both incoming and outgoing traffic in Kbps.
Total Data Flow Since Reboot: The amount of data transmitted and received since last reboot, in bytes.
Peak Touched This Session: The maximum data transfer rate achieved in this session for both incoming and outgoing traffic, in Kbps.
Information tool like this will give you a clear understanding of bandwidth usage in a particular bandwidth pool, and you will be able to distribute raw bandwidth and shape bandwidth pools more effectively and efficiently. For example, if for a particular bandwidth pool "10 Second Average" shows very low amount of data transfered and received, say around 30% and "Peak Touched This Session" also shows 60% of the bandwidth consumed. It means on average 30% bandwidth is consumed and at maximum only 60% of the bandwidth is getting consumed, while 40% of the bandwidth from this bandwidth pool is getting wasted. On the basis of this analysis you can reduce the upper limit for this bandwidth pool to 60% and devote rest of the 40% bandwidth to some other bandwidth crunch pool.
MAC Address Binding
With this feature, administrators can bind a mac address with a particular IP. This is applicable for IP based users, Web based users as well as AD based users.
PPTP VPN Server for Microsoft Windows Users

Blocking of Live Connections
While browsing live connections, now you can block and unblock them at will
IP Restrictions for web based users: IP ranges
Allows admins to restrict Web logins inside and outside a particular IP range. Now administrators can define an IP range for web based users. Access will be denied to the users connecting from outside this IP range.
Adding of new categories in "block site category"
Now you can block more sites with Nebero. The database has been updated.
