Physical & Performance

Overview

Nebero ships as two 1U rack-mount appliances-P64A for branch sites and S64A for headquarters-both powered by MediaTek Filogic 880 SoCs with dedicated hardware acceleration, flexible port layouts, and optional redundant power on enterprise deployments.

Capabilities in this category

Dedicated hardware (ASIC/purpose-built chips) for faster throughput than software firewalls

Hardware offload for firewall, VPN, and inspection workloads.

Application-specific integrated circuits accelerate packet processing, NAT, and cryptographic operations-delivering higher throughput and lower latency than general-purpose servers running software firewalls under identical policy loads.

Multiple physical network ports (WAN/LAN/DMZ)

Dedicated interfaces for internet, internal, and DMZ networks.

Models ship with multiple Gigabit or 10GbE ports assignable to WAN, LAN, and DMZ roles. Physical separation simplifies cabling and zone topology without relying solely on VLAN abstraction for critical boundaries.

Redundant power supplies (on enterprise-grade models)

Dual PSUs for failover on high-end appliance SKUs.

Enterprise-grade models include hot-swappable redundant power supplies so a single PSU failure does not take the firewall offline-essential for core data-center and headquarters deployments with strict availability SLAs.
